I absolutely love this place! I was meant to stay only a night before beginning Spanish lessons but got there and felt so relaxed that I had to stay for two. The staff made me feel so at home, even though my Spanish was close to non-existent. Breakfast was beautiful with amazing views. I also loved the easy walk into town, with stunning views of the lake along the way.
100% Recommend this hotel.

Quirky and great hotel located in a great area near `` The Indian Nose '', the surrounding mountains, and the coffee shop down the street called Orbe. Gorgeous and bright room with a fairly clean bathroom. Marvellous location, at a moderate distance from San Pedro. Very comfortable overall experience.

We had a fantastic experience staying at Porto Bello! The room was massive with a beautiful lake view. The hosts were amazing, providing hot tea for my flu recovery. They even brought an English-speaking friend to ensure clear communication. The peaceful location allowed for a more authentic experience. The deck for breakfast or evening drinks was beautiful. The hosts went above and beyond, even chasing after our bus to make sure we didn't miss it. Highly recommended!
Totally recommend this hotel.

I loved the peaceful setting just outside of the bustling city. The hotel had amazing facilities and direct access down to the beautiful lake. The staff were friendly and even arranged transportation for me. The location was perfect too, close enough to walk to the city centre but far away from the noise. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start my day.

I had a truly great time staying at this peaceful and scenic location. It's situated just outside the village, near the lake, and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I enjoyed my private walk down to the lake, passing by the beautiful crops like corn. the staff was helpful in ensuring that I had everything I needed, and breakfast was delicious with a wonderful view!
Some amenities were lacking, and I had to ask staff for clean water and coffee in the morning.

Loved the comfy beds and the beautiful view from the patio during breakfast. the complementary Mayan steam room was a great touch and added to the overall experience. the pleasant walk to town was a good way to see the surroundings.
The location was a bit farther from town than expected and resulted in expensive tuktuk fares. the hotel lacked basic amenities such as a bar, and the walls were quite thin resulting in being able to hear noise from other rooms.
